 Ever wondered if your the right person to donate blood? If your eating right and how you need to carry forward? First time donor and all confused? Donated before but still managed to get yourself a bit dizzy?

3.Get a good nights sleep.

Prior to Donating:

1. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of juice or water 24 hrs leading to donating time. Avoid drinking caffeinated drinks, it causes your body to expel water.

A Special Children's Day

Almost all of us have a vision while getting out of school; to change the world
Now, the way we want to achieve this dream- could be different;  some want to change the world by creating homes, others by creating businesses, and the rest by creating music, or art. But the students of MCOAHS have chosen a completely different path in order to achieve it: by creating change in people's lives; & we work as a team, to witness our dream come true in bits and pieces, day by day.

For instance, the Children's Day celebration we, along with the Student Council , the Cultural Committee and the Sports Committee arranged for the special needs kids of ASHA NILAY and ASARE schools came out wonderfully successful.

The children were warmly welcomed and adorned with fun party hats and given stationary goodies.For the fancy dress competition, we had a Krishna putting up a dramatic act, a Miss Universe walking the mini ramp and a Superman (attempting) to save the world - in which everybody who participated did extremely well. Following the drawing competition we organized, came up musical chairs, bombarding the fruit, a parade of Tom & Jerry episodes and a couple of stall games as well.  The entire event came out a huge success.

Getting to see their inquisitive eyes brighten up with excitement & happiness and watching them  smile & laugh like they never have before,  was indeed an incredible thing to witness. It's instances like these, that always change me for the better. Children help me define the words honesty, innocence and love. They have taught me to never laugh half heartedly.

To put a smile on the faces of these children, who have helped me grow into the person I am today, will always be my dream. As Sarah Kay says, "No matter how wide you stretch your fingers, your hands will always be too small to catch all the pain you want to heal.";

But we still have to try.

Always try.
