Six…yipeee, four, wide ball , ten, ohh noo…out, clean bold…….!!!!!!!!
These were the exciting voices heard at the Sharada Court during the 5 days from 18th of November to 22nd
of November.
They were none other than the cheers
for the SIX-A SIDE cricket tournament which was held by MCOAHS..!!
This tournament was a great effort by
the Council and Sports committee of MCOAHS.
In all there were 22 teams, each team
comprising of 6 members including girls as well as boys. Blue demons,
Anurag’s team, Rahul sir’s team, Ayaaz sir’s team, The Beasts, The Black
Peals, NM united,
Prateek’s (pg)team, NM Warriors….and
the Coffee Crackers (team of staff members)!!
The six –a- side cricket displayed the spirit of sportsmanship in boys
as well as girls. It was fun to see the way students played to their fullest
energy. The amazing fact was there were two such teams having five girls and
one boy…..out them one team won the match. It was really wonderful to see the
enthusiasm with which the girls played.
After the quarter finals were the semifinals which were
held on 21st. Nm united, Rahul sir’s team, Prateek's (mpt) and team
and Ayaaz sir’s team were the semifinalists.
It was a tough competition
between all the teams and it all the players tried to give their best. MADHAVAN
of NM UNITED scored 40 in 1 over which made the team enter semifinals.
The most awaiting moments were when
laurels were given to best players.
These laurels were given by Mr. Ayaaz
and Mr. D. M Sabu
Anurag’s team: highest score of the
tournament 123 in 6 overs.
Highest individual score :99: Rahul

Player of the tournament: Mona
Best batsman: Anurag
Best fielder of the tournament: Shikha, Animesh
These were the 5 days of six a side
cricket tournament which passed filled with entertainment, encouragement and
true spirit of Team work.
It was a new and amazing experience.
